Developing a Standalone WebFOCUS Reporting Application

How can you make your WebFOCUS reporting application accessible to users on the Internet or corporate intranet?  This course will show you how to build a user interface for your reporting application and deploy it to the Web as a structured ad hoc application, all from within WebFOCUS Developer Studio. 

You Will Learn How To:
  • Follow the Develop and Deploy methodology to build a structured ad hoc application
  • Create and manage a new project
  • Use virtual folders to organize the files in your project
  • Graphically build an HTML user interface for your structured ad hoc application including a logon page, a home page, and launch pages using the Resource Layout Painter
  • Incorporate WebFOCUS procedures, parameter form controls, text, images, and other Web objects such as frames into your HTML pages
  • Test your structured ad hoc application as you build it directly from within Developer Studio
  • Make your application available live on the Web using Developer Studio's built-in deployment tools
Who Should Take This Course:
Developers who will be creating Web-based reporting applications using WebFOCUS Developer Studio for deployment over a corporate intranet site or the Internet.

Prerequisite:
Course 351 Building Reports with Report Painter (Part 1), and working knowledge of HTML, an Internet browser, and MS Windows or NT.
